FK President Sarajevo proposes to cancel V-League 2020

With the COVID-19 pandemic showing signs of recurrence in Vietnam, VPF Joint Stock Company was forced to make a decision to postpone V-League 2020 indefinitely.

The tournament was once again suspended, causing teams to face many difficulties, especially financial problems, when not every team has enough money to pay the players during the time period. this time.

Therefore, many teams have proposed plans to end V-League 2020 early in case it is impossible to determine the exact time when the tournament will return. This plan was supported by Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam, Vietnamese president of FK Sarajevo Club:

"If it is not possible to determine when the game will be replayed, a definitive decision is to stop.

 Because the definitive decision will save time, money, resources of organizers and the participating clubs.

The proposal of many clubs now to stop the tournament is perfectly reasonable. No relegation team is perfectly reasonable, but it will not be a champion. We cannot select results based on 11 rounds, meaning that only half of the tournament has been completed.

Therefore, one is to cancel the result, the other is to keep the result but there is a champion and a relegation team. In these two options, in my opinion should cancel V-League 2020 results, no champions and no relegation team ".

Besides, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Nam also shared the experience of organizing the Bosnia & Herzegovina Championship. The tournament has just ended and the championship belongs to FK Sarajevo.

"In the Bosnian & Herzegovina, we have gone through two-thirds of the tournament. After a lot of controversy from the clubs, the organizers decided to stop the tournament and choose the champions. UEFA Champions League and relegation teams according to the total score before the tournament must stop.

Of course there are unhappy clubs, but this is a reasonable decision. We became the champions this season by leading the group with only 3 points apart from the team behind; The last two teams in the group must be relegated. Such decision by the club has played 2/3 of the way of the tournament ".
