HAGL president: 'I speak up for the development of Vietnamese football'
HAGL president affirmed that he would continue to speak up to develop Vietnamese football in the fairest way.
On the afternoon of July 28, the Vietnam Football Federation held a press conference about the upcoming plans of Vietnamese football, as well as the recent mistakes at V-League 2020.
In this press conference, the representative of VFF confirmed that the federation will consider handling criticisms towards V.League, making the tournament image worse.
VFF said it is willing to listen but only accepts public discussions during summaries or through written form, does not accept unverified comments in the media.
However, this decision of VFF has received the opposition of many managers, especially the chairman of HAGL - Mr. Doan Nguyen Duc.
"If VFF is wrong, we have to raise our voice again. Football belongs to people, fans and society. The first thing the federation should do is to listen to society not discipline them.
They told the club that if clubs criticize VFF, they will discipline them. It is not a right way. It seems that they don't want to hear from people who are interested in Vietnamese football. They should listen better. ”
HAGL president Mr. Duc is famous for being frank and honest. Although these facts offend the other "colleagues", because of the development of Vietnamese football, the president of HAGL is always ready to raise his views.
"I don't mind speaking up what I thought. I have my rights and I don't mind. I just don't say anything wrong, don't make mistakes, don't say things that go against the policy of the government. That is the important thing. I assert I will still speak up for Vietnamese football" - he shared.
