They even plan to bring in overseas Vietnamese midfielder Lee Nguyen for $ 1 million. However, the deal unfortunately broke down at the last minute because Inter Miami did not agree to let Lee Nguyen leave.
Despite the failure, the leadership of the Ho Chi Minh City club has never given up the idea of bringing overseas Vietnamese midfielder back to the V-League. A leader of Ho Chi Minh City said:
"We are still chasing Lee Nguyen, the deal is not over. He has more than a year with Inter Miami. Of course, the value of the contract will not be the same as before."
Reportedly, the Thong Nhat Stadium continues to work with Lee Nguyen. The reason why HCMC Club definitely wants this striker is because the team leaders prefer overseas Vietnamese players, especially Lee Nguyen.
Without Lee Nguyen, the HCMC club recently used the money to bring in two Costa Rican strikers Ariel Rodriguez and Jose Ortiz. This is an extremely quality addition to Chung Hae Seong's army in the race for the V-League championship in 2020.
