OFFICIAL: AFC announces schedule of the 2022 WC Qualifiers

After many meetings and discussions with member associations about the impact of the Covid-19 epidemic on football activities, the Asian Football Federation (AFC) has issued a schedule of competitions at the team and club level, which will take place at the end of 2020.

According to the new competition organization plan issued by AFC, the second qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia will restart in October 2020. As follows:

- The 7th match is held on 8/10/2020

- The 8th match is held on 13/10/2020

- The 9th match is held on 12/11/2020

- The 10th match is held on 17/11/2020

According to the schedule, Vietnam will come to Malaysia on the 8th day (October 13, 2020), then return to the home ground to welcome Indonesia on the 9th day (12 / 11/2020). The final match of Vietnam in the second round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia is a visit to the UAE team on the 10th day (November 17, 2020).

Currently, Vietnam is temporarily leading Group G with 11 points after 5 matches, followed by Malaysia (5 matches, 9 points), Thailand (5 games, 8 points), UAE (4 games, 6 points) and last place is Indonesia (5 games, 0 points).
