Thanks to the bad run of Trinidad & Tobago in CONCACAF Gold Cup 2019, Vietnam NT took back their 90th spot on FIFA table after 2 days going through a slump.
As Thethao247.vn announced, Vietnam NT suddenly slipped down at 97th on FIFA table in 2 days 26-27/9. Haiti - a 'strange' squad of Central America jumped up with a big score, leading Vietnam NT fall to the 97th in the world. Haiti has won both 3 CONCACAF Gold Cup 2019 Group stage matches, jumping from 101st to 90th.
However, another CONCACAF football team Trinidad & Tobago (TRI) went through a bad run of results when finishing CONCACAF Gold Cup 2019 by being ruled out of since the group stage.
Trinidad & Tobago was seated at 92nd on FIFA table with 1260 points then losing 33,9 points and falling into 100th in the world, handing back the 96th position to Vietnam NT. This is the first-ever place Vietnam seating on for the past 20 years.
Similarly, Thailand NT jumped one place to come to 115th by courtesy of Namibia (NAM) who dropped out of 113th to 117th by a poor campaign at CAN 2019.
Vietnam NT still remains its 15th rank in Asia. Therefore, Park Hang Seo's side is still securing a slot in seed group 2 at the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers held on July 17 in Malaysia.
By staying at seed group 2, Park Hang-seo’s side can stay away from such giants as Iraq (77), Uzbekistan (82), Syria (85)... in 2022 World Cup Qualifiers
