Hanoi FC's recent announcement has opened the door for Van Hau to stay and play for SC Heerenveen.

Doan Van Hau's contract with Heerenveen will expire on June 30, 2020. However, so far, the Dutch team has not moved to show that it will extend to the Vietnamese defender.

Some sources believe that Heerenveen has not renewed with Van Hau because of financial difficulties. Grasping the situation, Hanoi FC announced that it would support Heerenveen to pay Van Hau's salary.

Hanoi Club announced: "Hanoi FC is ready to accompany and have economic support with SC Heerenveen to keep Van Hau in the Netherlands if the partner appreciates the professional ability of the player. If the problem is outside of the financial matter, Van Hau will return to Vietnam ".

Hanoi President FC Do Vinh Quang stated that the capital team will create conditions for Van Hau to stay in Europe, if SC Heerenveen holds the young talent of Vietnamese football 1 because of professional factors.

According to the statement, Hanoi FC will find a trading partner or football team to pay money to support Heerenveen to pay 450,000 euros per year (about 11.5 billion dong) before taxes. On average, Thai Binh players receive 217,000 euros a year.

Vietnam player is receiving the 4th highest salary in Heerenveen. However, Heerenveen could not reduce Van Hau's salary, because it was the minimum wage for a non- Europe player.

Recently, the Heerenveen Club has officially said goodbye to the 8 members of the team: goalkeeper Trevor Doornbusch, Warner Hahn, Filip Bednarek and players Alen Halilovic, Jordy Bruijn, Daniel Hoegh, Ricardo van Rhijn and first team’s manager Herman van Dijk.
